Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

Atlas Watchline is committed to accurate, fair, and independent reporting. This policy explains the standards we hold ourselves to.

Independence

Our reporting is independent. Advertisers, sponsors, and affiliate partners do not influence our editorial decisions or coverage. Commercial content is always clearly labeled and kept separate from news.

Sourcing

  • We prioritize primary and official sources — government agencies, court and public records, official filings, and firsthand documentation.
  • A standard news story is supported by at least two independent, reputable sources, or one authoritative official source.
  • We treat RSS feeds, alerts, and newsletters as leads for further reporting, not as content to copy. We summarize and contextualize facts in our own words; we do not reproduce other outlets' articles.

Sensitive stories

Some topics carry a higher risk of harm if reported incorrectly. Stories involving politics and elections, crime and allegations, health and medical claims, finance and investing, legal matters, deaths, or minors receive additional human review before publication and are held to a higher sourcing standard.

Accuracy and attribution

  • We verify facts before publishing and attribute information to its source.
  • When sources conflict or facts are uncertain, we say so plainly.
  • We do not plagiarize or present others' reporting as our own.
  • We do not fabricate quotes, data, or documents.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it openly and promptly. See our Corrections Policy.

Use of AI

Atlas Watchline uses AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and formatting under human oversight. Our full approach — including how AI-generated and AI-assisted content is labeled — is described on our AI Use & Automation Disclosure page.

Commercial content

Advertising, sponsored content, and affiliate links are clearly disclosed and never mixed into hard-news coverage without a label. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
