Corrections Policy

Corrections Policy

Accuracy is the foundation of trustworthy journalism. When we make a mistake, we correct it openly.

How to report an error

Email [email protected] with:

  • The article title or link
  • The specific information you believe is incorrect
  • A source or explanation, if you have one

We review every correction request.

How we handle corrections

We use three levels of change, and we label them transparently:

  • Correction — We fix a factual error and add a note explaining what was changed and when.
  • Clarification — We add or reword information to prevent misunderstanding, with a note if the meaning changed.
  • Update — We add newly available, materially relevant information to a developing story, with an updated timestamp.

When we materially change a published article, we note the change on the article and update the "last updated" date. We do not silently alter the substance of published reporting.

Our commitment

We aim to respond to correction requests promptly and to make verified corrections as soon as reasonably possible.
