Cato Networks launches Agentic Threat Prevention tool

Cato Networks said it has launched a security capability that uses autonomous agents to predict attack paths and adapt protections for each customer environment.
Cato Networks said on Aug. 3 that it launched Cato Agentic Threat Prevention, a security capability designed to predict likely attack paths and tailor protections to each customer environment before AI-assisted attacks advance.
The company said the product uses autonomous agents built on its cloud-native platform to combine network and security telemetry with customer-specific activity and threat intelligence. Cato said the system models risk across users, applications, traffic patterns, assets and exposures, and enforces protections globally through every Cato Point of Presence without service chaining or enforcement gaps.
Cato said frontier AI is accelerating vulnerability discovery, adaptive attack chains and machine-speed execution beyond the limits of manual workflows and traditional tools. The company also said attackers can scan millions of environments at once and turn vulnerabilities into working exploits in hours.
Cato framed the new capability as part of a broader “agentic defense” approach. It pointed to its Agentic CVE Mitigation feature, which it said can autonomously assess and apply protections for newly disclosed vulnerabilities in as fast as 45 minutes.
Shlomo Kramer, Cato’s co-founder and chief executive, said in the release: “Yesterday's security cannot stop today's AI-powered attacks.” He added: “Prediction is the new prevention.”
Frank Dickson, group vice president at IDC, said in a quoted statement that AI-assisted attacks are exposing the limits of static security controls and manual response. He said enterprises will need prevention approaches that use shared context, automation and cloud-scale enforcement.
The company described itself as a leader in SASE and AI security and said it serves thousands of customers worldwide.
The company did not provide pricing or a broader deployment timetable in the release.
