Allegion says the Schlage XE360 Series with RealSync uses existing Wi-Fi for persistent connectivity, remote control and over-the-air updates.

Allegion on Aug. 25 said it is expanding its Schlage XE360 Series with RealSync, a wireless commercial access control solution that uses existing Wi-Fi infrastructure for persistent connectivity and real-time control.

The company said the system lets properties add connected access control without gateways, panels, wires, hubs, door service routers or extensive cabling. Allegion said that could make upgrades simpler for commercial spaces, small and medium-sized businesses, student housing and senior living facilities.

In the release, Allegion said RealSync is its first cloud-to-cloud communication protocol. The company said the system allows real-time monitoring alerts, instant remote lock and unlock functions, and immediate credential issuance or revocation from anywhere.

Allegion also said properties already using XE360 offline hardware can upgrade by swapping the FleX Module. The company said that modular approach preserves the original lock investment and reduces electronic waste.

The release said XE360 locks with RealSync support over-the-air firmware updates. Allegion said the system can achieve more than one year of battery life using four standard AA batteries while maintaining persistent Wi-Fi connection.

Allegion said Brivo will be the first PACS partner to offer a fully integrated RealSync solution, with additional partners to follow. PACS refers to physical access control systems used to manage entry to buildings and rooms.

The company said multiple PACS partners have already begun integrating with the cloud-based software platform before commercial availability. Allegion identified Nate Spitz, general manager of Schlage locks and access solutions, as the executive behind the announcement.

Allegion said the product builds on the XE360 Series introduced in 2024. The company’s release was dated Carmel, Indiana, on Aug. 25, 2026.
